I love how Ailuvu (sp) is so very non-fairy in her agreement with Red's assessment. Not jealous. Not really upset. More like she's seen these outbursts so often, they have very little affect on her.

It is 1 year at most not several ones. Annie and Red last talked in Chapter 61, and only a few months have passed till Page 1997 (Annie is about to visit Loup the first time). Annie returned from the visit after 6 months by Page 2770, and Loup was very impatient then, only some months coyld have passed since, but not an year. Admittedly, this time period was packed with many events so that it may feel as many years to Annie.
