"That's right, Bob! You and your subatomic particles could all go on an all-expenses-paid trip to the majestic neon edifices of New Quark, New Quark! Stay for six nights and seven days at the world famous Glyph-Phrase Astoria, but only if The Price Is Right!"
Hello, Omega!
I'm glad that is what's supposed to happen! • Is this world The Matrix? The "æther glyphs" from way back in the beginning look like circuits, there's a lot of emphasis on perception and reality, certain humans can hack into the programming of the world, the main character discovers where they live isn't "real", another character chooses to live in an ideal fake world after living in the harsh real one... (I haven't seen the last one)
That looks familiar. The etching on robot CPUs. The Court has never believed in magic. But it runs on it.
Okay, this is just dangerous.
I'm sure under different circumstances, she'd be best buddies with Kat.
With great power...
"Now we're cookin' with gas!" as the saying goes.
Dabbling in Sith calligraphy again, are we?
It seems that Noa has been doing with glyphs what Kat has been doing with robots. I'm guessing that George will only have "Court standard" glyphs at her command when we return to the scene of the action, so she'll have to win by making guile her strength.
I finally remember why it looks familiar. Halo 3 introduced Forunner/Precursor glyphs that looked similar. While it was a simply cypher, the books made it out to be a geometric lattice of interconnections. To understand what the first symbol meant, you needed the context of all the others. Big brain language.
The glyph equivalent of a Cray-1, eh? Whatever comes of this might affect Noa's sight, but I'd be mildly surprised if it caused her current proportions. My cousin was quite short and stocky till he was in his mid teens and then grew quite literally a foot in height over a single summer. He's been a beanpole ever since. :)
Damn, curious how long this took to draw
Ahh, the glyph debug console
My Hero Academia continues
Wondering if she is going to earn it!
Netrunner cracking the blackwall
Another very well done strip! I like the colors, lighting & dynamics of bottom 2/3! Great contrast vs. the top panels. An interesting peek into her living accommodations. Perhaps Noa is the precocious & impulsive member of the group. Wouldn’t have guessed that from our earlier exposures of the coven. Great work again, Tom!
Ah, she hacked the mmagic. She's Kat's foil! She'd be able to help Kat finish bridging the divide between magic and science!
It is so interesting how she is 100% like Kat if Kat had direct etheric abilities. I like the young Noa very much and I dread the tragedy that is yet to unfold. If you look at the panel again where Jenny says "Noa, you are our muscle", she is so non-responsive, almost zombie-like. And worst of all: she was a kid with supreme etheric talent and now she is just "the muscle", meaning her etheric talents are not available anymore ... Such a loss. Of course, it might all be a ruse by Tom and Jenny meant that Noa is the "etheric muscle", with no body modifications whataoever, and she suddenly starts talking etc... But I doubt it. Yet another good soul lost to the ether.
The bed over the bookshelves is a space-efficient arrangement but isn't cumbersome for a short person like Noa?
Noticed she had really endomorphic arms and legs, and they are now really ectomorphic. Did she deliberately inverse her body and nonthreatening surface demeanor in between this flashback and now?
code, deobfuscated? decompiled?
Wait, could this be the same stuff proto-robot hearts are made of?
This was my reaction when I started going down the rabbit hole of "go to definition" on JavaScript libraries
