My copy of Gunnerkrigg Court Volume 2 arrived today in the mail and it is gorgeous. I've been following this comic for years so it's great to own a copy of it. And Chapter 40 (The Stone) is in this one - my favourite chapter. Thoroughly enjoying this webcomic.

Cutting Omega off from her omniscience is kind of like killing her in a way. Could Kat "kill" Zimmy by cutting her off from her omnipotence in a similar way? Could Annie "kill" Loup by cutting off his divinity? Give New Person bodies to everyone, and let Kat take over the omniscience and omnipotence as an up-and-coming techno-goddess.

But Tom! Not just *any* kind of scraper!

39 min wait on Friday the 13th, almost unlucky • Yay an explanation (genuine sincerity) and the return of low-poly Kat! Reminds me of my old theory that Jack's spy web was kids from the cruise logging when they happened to see Zimmy, not actively looking for her to not trigger her paranoia. • "Why did Annie change clothes?" Her last outfit got singed; burnt clothes probably feel and smell awful. "Why was she acting weird before?" She was getting Omega's attention. "When did she get taller than Jones?" After "Mind Cage".

But Omega would have noticed it was odd for Renard to leave Annie's side, surely? Also: girls you're monologuing!!

Clever: collecting all people from the distortion was a disguise of the plan, meant as an innocent explanation for Annie's runaround (decepting Omega on Page 3055). Also we have learned what Renard was busy with on Page 3102.

I kind of hate the narrative choice of having the good guys explain what they just did to the bad guys in great detail. I get you need to explain what they need for the story but it feels like lazy storytelling. Why would I just tell this sociopath that has been kidnapping my friends and family how I managed to cut them off from nigh-omnipotence?

Once again, I appreciate your artwork, Tom. This is a really good portrait of the main Trio of characters in the story. I particularly enjoyed that you incorporated both Annie's Fire Sprite & Kat's Cyber Sprite into the image. Bravo Zulu!!

ANJA EYES - There has been discussion about Kat's narrowed eyes while she is interfacing with her computer & how it is similar to Anja's eyes. I would like to add some observations to stimulate a discussion of possibilities. - First, Anja's eyes are always drawn narrow while Kat's cycle based on her circumstances. - History: Page 102 is the first instance where we see young Anja. (The school group photo.) No clear time frame is given, but it seems as though the transfer from Chester was recent, so 1st or 2nd year, probably before her computer. Page 2326 shows Anja discovering her workshop, so again probably pre-computer. Finally, Anja / young Norn also shows up as narrow. A totally vague timeframe, but an observation point. - Any noteworthy comments??

Huh. Reminds me of the Doctor using the Vindicator this past season of Doctor Who to gather data from everywhere the Tardis landed across the universe to help it get back to Earth. Also, spoilers, but the season also ended with a villain called Omega coming back. What seren(a)dipity...

Just caught all the way up! I've taken some breaks from this comic over the years, but I started reading probably on Chapter 3? It's been years, so I went back and re-read everything. What a ride!
