So the map is actually like a live signal somehow, not just a static representation?

I wonder if, like in Find Yourself, Zimmy is using parts of people to form the basis of a distortion. Namely, Lana, with her in depth knowledge of novels.

Getting too close: Zimmy: "[Kat's] gonna kill me... She's going to use Omega to do it" Kat: "The map we made for Omega" Annie: "This has to be where Zimmy is" • Jones compared Zimmy to the power plant which sucks up æther for the Court to burn away as fuel; Zimmy might be accidentally grabbing Red's æther to power her world. Zimmy looks a lot like Omega, Omega cares about the welfare of the Court even if Zimmy might be suffering; when Zimmy heard the noise outside the Eye she asked Coyote to remove her guilt so she can continue her happy life even if it's hurting people. Hopefully Annie has more options than others who venture into created worlds where people avoid their suffering (she's gonna burn the whole Gilitie plane and crash it into earth so it becomes the dead chaos land Tea-san and her partner are exploring).

My current guess as to Zimmy's predicted fate is that she lashes out when Annie and Kat inadvertently destroy her utopia by freeing Red (or some follow-up action) and Kat, still adjusting to her godlike power, accidentally overdoes it while defending her friend. As the outcome is by Tom's fiat, though, I'm probably waaay off. :)

Huh. This makes me wonder if there’s some sort of deeper connection between Red & Ayilu and Zimmy & Gamma

How interesting that Red ended up possibly being a key to this entire situation. She’s not gonna like it, but saving people needs doing.
